Meet Mason Amos!
Hello! My name is Mason Amos and I am a Level 3 Qualified PT and I also achieved D* D* D* in ‘Level 3 Sports Science and Sports Coaching’!
I have always had a passion for health and fitness which has stemmed since the age of 3 when I first started playing football, sometimes at a fairly high level, and this has carried on to the present day! From there I played for my school football team in secondary school, during my time at school I joined my first gym at the age of 14 with my friends. We had no clue what we was doing so we didn’t last very long. I also studied PE for my GCSEs. I would say that it is here where I first gained my passion for body anatomy and exercise science.
When I left school at 16 I instantly joined my first gym, I did some of my own research on gaining muscle and diet and I wrote myself a training program, well I tried to. I did my best to keep gaining knowledge but wasn’t seeing so much progress as there was so much information out there, I didn’t know what was true and what was false!
I then decided to study Sports Science and Sports Coaching at a football college for 2 years. Here I gained more knowledge on body anatomy, coaching methods and training styles, this helped me make some progress in the gym as I was understanding working out a lot more overall!
As I mentioned, I achieved D* D* D* from this course, but I didn’t want to use this qualification as my passion for the gym was REALLY taking over and I decided I wanted to delve deeper into anatomy, training styles and business… this led me to Personal Training!
From here I then went to a different college to study Level 3 Personal Training for a year. On this course I learned A LOT and thoroughly enjoyed learning everything. I was also making amazing progress in the gym, my strength was going UP, I was putting on muscle and my diet was under good control!
It was on this course where I realised that I potentially could go very far in Personal Training and Online Coaching if I put the hard work in. I have such a passion for passing on knowledge and helping people get their training on track so they don’t have to wait as long as me to see results. It can be very hard to stay consistent when you feel like you’re doing everything wrong and not making much progress. So I had no doubt that this was what I wanted to do!
I hope this was a great insight into my life and fitness journey, I look forward to working with YOU!
